Our Project
for Statsbygg

Field work at one of Statsbygg’s assets in Rogaland.
“Statsbygg will be a driving force in the transition to a circular economy, and we aim to reduce the need for new construction by utilizing the potential in existing buildings.”

We had the pleasure of collaborating with Statsbygg, the Norwegian government’s building commissioner, property manager and developer, on an exciting project at one of their assets in Rogaland. Together, we explored Birdsview’s technology, which aims to revolutionize the way we approach maintenance and rehab of existing buildings.

We focused on an old concrete deck and a concrete column with insufficient design documentation, which had been subjected to load limitations after a condition assessment. By scanning the deck and columns, we identified the location of the reinforcement and determined the diameter of the reinforcement bars.
This project demonstrates how innovation can preserve historic buildings while promoting sustainable solutions and enhancing operations. A big thank you to Statsbygg for their collaboration on this project and their vision to adopt innovative solutions!
