Last week we tested our solution at Wopas in Ål!
Wopas delivers a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to impregnated utility poles by encapsulating untreated wood in recycled plastic. This gives a stronger pole, which is proven to have the lowest climate footprint compared to other types of poles.
The encapsulation makes it challenging to assess the condition of the poles with traditional tools such as hammers and drills, and a non-destructive method for assessing the condition of the wood under the plastic is therefore essential. In collaboration with Wopas and Vattenfall, tests were therefore carried out which demonstrated that our solution can be used to effectively assess the condition of Wopas poles.
